Dave and Jen Bohler
In 2006, Dave was hired by ABC’s hit show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Dave became the Director of Construction, leading a master build team and 5,000 volunteers through construction projects up to 10,000 square feet in only 106 hours! I followed him around the country and enjoyed assisting the design and locations teams.
When we returned home, Bohler Builders Group was born. We work with a highly skilled and dedicated team, balancing home renovation shows and private clients in Southern California and Middle Tennessee.

David Collard | CA & TN
Vice President of Construction
David, lovingly known as “Collard” due to the prevalence of Davids on the team, was born and raised in New Zealand. At 18 he brought his talents to the US. Part of the BBG team from day one, Collard brings a passion for building, community, and creativity to work every day. Beyond work, you'll find him biking the trails of Middle TN and exploring the outdoors with family.
Scott Lawrence | CA
Senior Project Manager
Scott enjoys coaching his kids sports teams and rooting for the Redskins. Look for him in the local baseball card stores with his son or at the father / daughter dance with his daughter. We worked together on the original Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and when the show ended, he joined BBG in 2012.
Ben Bergler | CA
Project Manager
Ben is an artist who likes to visit galleries and work on projects around the house with his wife. When he’s not playing sports with his kids, his favorite teams to watch are the Lakers and the Angels. Ben joined BBG in 2017 and has been an asset to the team.
Mike Medina | CA
Craftsman
Mike and his boys love riding horses together, competing in rodeos, and helping out at a local ranch. Mike is a certified welder and jack-of-all-trades. We’ve been blessed by his skill since 2012.
Jon Clark | CA
Site Superintendent
Jon discovered his love of woodworking in junior high. Don’t tell his teachers, but as an 18-year-old high school senior he was able to write his own notes out of class to go back to Woodshop and work on his projects. He had his own cabinet business in Glendora for many years before joining us in 2018. After work he enjoys hanging out with his grandkids, smoking meats for the family and making homemade vanilla.
David Musson | CA
Project Manager
In high school, this guy was the Washington state record holder in javelin. He then became the national champion at Azusa Pacific University. Today he enjoys adventures with his family and giving clients the gift of sanctuary in their newly remodeled spaces since 2020.
Tim Bohler | CA & TN
Senior Project Manager
Not known for downtime, David’s brother, Tim, officially said goodbye to his 9 to 5 on a Friday in 2021 and came to a BBG kickoff meeting the next morning. Time off includes building a playhouse for his grandkids, surfing Doheny, and riding motorcycles on the sand dunes.
Steph Ham | CA & TN
Project Manager
“How can we get her to come work with us?” This was the first question we asked when we found Steph on the Extreme Makeover reboot where her bright spirit and strong work ethic made the impossible happen. Maybe it was being born on Christmas that gave her that celebratory attitude.
Scott Kinney | TN
Senior Project Manager
You’ll see both Skinney’s love of art and soccer in his creation hanging in our local Mantra coffee shop. Ask for Sven. Skinney joined the team in 2022 and while he can tackle any project, the only thing he can’t do is stand still - he will fall asleep in three minutes.
Amelia Young | CA & TN
Project Manager
Amelia has worked construction in 5 US states through TV renovation shows. An avid hiker and baker, consider yourself lucky to be on crew with her as treats tend to show up. She’s also quick on her feet, as evidenced by being in the top 5 fastest girls in her fourth grade class.
Josh Close | TN
Site Coordinator
Josh is passionate about his ATL sports (Falcons and Braves), BBQ, golf, and music. He played baseball at Liberty University and brings that team mentality to work with him everyday. If you hear singing on the job site there’s a good chance it’s him. We’re sure he’d love for you to join in.
Taylor Mabuni | CA
Planning & Business Development
From his childhood in Hawaii to college at Azusa Pacific University, Taylor has always deliberately surrounded himself with good mentors and friends, so we feel honored he chose to work with us in 2022. On the weekends, you can find Taylor at the hardware store getting supplies for his next home project or spending time outdoors with his wife.
Zack Bohler | CA
Project Manager
Zack had been on BBG work sites for years before he and his wife left for Papua New Guinea. There he built a school and taught people about the love of Jesus. Now he’s back to help us create homes for families here and build a family of his own.
Bill Hobbs | TN
Project Manager
Bill is a life-long athlete. He was drafted by the Cubs out of high school and holds the dubious distinction of striking out Mark Maguire and getting struck out by Randy Johnson. Now we’re happy to say Bill is a part of our team. He enjoys taking drives through the Tennessee countryside with his wife and seeing all of God’s gifting on display through the people he works with.
Alex Burch | TN
Site Coordinator
If you’ve ever spent time with Alex you’ll know how much he cares for people. A dedicated family man with 3 little ones (and another on the way), he still loves to run and workout to keep himself healthy and sharp. His greatest love on the job site is getting to work alongside his crew. And after family and friends, it’s probably pizza.
